Okay, so this symbol was never used in this form in the show.
I altered it to look how I wanted.
But the infinity symbol was used in the show.

There is never a definition or explanation of what the infinity symbol means on the show.
It could simply be a letter, number or pictogram.




The infinity symbol (or something close to it) is found in the destiny book.







It is also seen in the visions of the symbols in the desert that the podsters have.







It is also seen in Nasedo’s cave painting







And of course in Max’s drawing of the cave painting







The symbol also was used in the opening credits of season 3.

In our world, of course infinity means forever, or more correctly, never-ending.

The single, centered eye is symbolic of the all-seeing eye (no I am not refering to
Sauron the Dark Lord from the Lord of the Rings Movies). The all-seeing
eye or third eye is associated with wisdom, intuition and even prognostication.



You may have seen this pic that I use. I added the two eyes on either side
but the infinity symbol and what looks like an eye in the center is actually
a naturally occuring nebula. This is where I got the inspiration.

It seemed appropiate to use for this part of the story because the past is being revealed.
