Jason Behr Fans

When Roswell was on, there were tons of sites dedicated to the talented actors on the show. Most of them had biographical info, filmography, pics and stuff like that, but some fans started groups where they could worship or pay homage to their favorites.

The stuff posted below is from the later groups who actually did a bit more.

If you are interested in the names the actor fan groups gave themselves you can find it here - Roswell Actor & Character Fan Names List

Here are some things I saved from Jason fans.

MOB

There was one group of friends who decided to get the silver handprint tattooed on them that Max left on Liz when he healed her. They called themselves the Mark of the Behr, or MOB.

Sorry, I don't have any pics of MOBs tattoos. If anyone has a Roswell tattoo, please send in a pic.

JBBP

To celebrate Jason Behr's birthday, fans raised money and made donations in his name to several charities in 2000 & 2001. One of which was the Elizabeth Glasier Pediatric AIDS foundation, a charity that Jason Behr supports. They had these bears made to raise money.

The site is gone, but a shell of it can be seen on the Wayback Machine - here & when the project was closing down the site changed, and you can find it here

One Jason fan thread asked if and how Jason had changed your life

Now, has Jason given me the answers to the "Meaning Of Life"?, I say a big NO. Has Jason helped me to enjoy life more?, I say YES!. It been more indirect than direct, but Roswell and him has had a big influence on my life.

Here's just a few example of how.

1) He brought me some entertainment (Max & Roswell) when I was having issues in my life. It was sort of an escape from the bad stuff that was happening.

2) Meeting and making new friends. This may not be a problem for some, but for me, I have a hard time finding friends I could talk and relate to. Well I found a lot of friends on different forums and lists because of my respect and admiration for Jason and the show Roswell.

3) Charity. Even though I always given, I now have been helping with some charity events. I might not be a big help, but help never the less. It's gives me a good feeling inside especially helping with Jason 2nd Birthday project. (shameless plug)!.

4) Creativity. I think I became more creative because of Jason and Roswell. I pushed myself to learn things I never thought possible. This includes learning to make Video CD's, Creating Web pages, designing the cast awards to what some say is great writing on these forums. All of these things I though I would or could never do.

So all of this has made my quality of life better. It's made me a lot of new friends and helped me to help others and to feel better about life and myself in general.

I guess in a way he has. Last year, four people trying to figure out a way to say thank you to him, spurred the birthday project. I have never dealt directly with charities, in the past just sending my money to them, but trying to find a local charity for the project in my area pushed me to go and visit one, and it was a wonderful and educational experience for me.

This year I am dealing directly with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation for the birthday project, as this is the charity Jason does so much work for, and I have gotten an education all over again as to all the wonderful work they do.

So has Jason redefined my life? Yes, in the fact that he has inspired me to get involved and to take a more hands on attitude towards helping others, and getting people involved in helping others. It isn't always easy to do, and can involve alot of work, but using the letter that EGPAF sent last year thanking us for the money raised from the birthday project as an example, it leaves you with a wonderful feeling.

The friends I have made through my interest in Jason are another way my life has changed for the better. They have been a wonderful source of support and inspiration to me, and though it is sort of indirect, I never would have met them had I not gone looking for a place to chat about Jason. That soon became chatting about everything else under the sun, but no friendship or conversation should remain static. It should continue to grow and change, so it remains rewarding :-)
